Mahmood Arib is an Iranian professional filmmaker, author and photographer. He has so far, received many national and international rewards. In addition to many documentaries, he has also made a number of short films some of which have been recognized in international festivals such as Ozarck, Black Bird, Phonix, Bristol, Wiper Film Festival, Ostia film festival, intimalente film festival, FFTG Film Festival, etc. As a photographer, he has participated in many local, national as well as international exhibitions. He has had various executive positions as curator, producer, and secretariat of many cinematic events in his career at different times. As an author, he has published a considerable number of articles in local journals and has developed some photo albums. He has also a teaching position in some art institute and teaches cinema and photography. He is widely recognized as an artist of conceptual works, in heart of which one can mysteriously find an exquisite nostalgia to the past, and the depth of humanity as well
